Title I

Title I provides supplemental federal funding for schools with a high poverty level.  The number of students that get free and/or reduced lunch is used to determine the poverty level.  Title I funds are used in improving educational programs to help students meet the state standards.

There are two types of Title I schools, Targeted Assisted and School-wide.  A School-wide program  serves students in the most need academically while enhancing the whole educational program for overall school.
